On November 30th, 7 students from 4th and 5th grade, competed against each other in our school’s spelling bee. The contestants that participated were Keshaun Guyton, Alexis Davis, Corderrius Harris, Frederick Haynes, Cam’Ron Poole, Terrian Wilson and Tristan Simmons. These students did an amazing job. They practiced very diligently, so that they could earn a spot in our district’s spelling bee. 3rd place went to Cam’Ron Poole, 2nd place went to Terrian Wilson and 1st place went to Tristan Simmons. The winners will continue practicing for our district’s spelling bee. Whoever wins that competition, will then compete in the annual Scripps National Spelling Bee. This effort comes as part of the strategic plan's goal of engaging students in their learning experiences.
